Guy graduated in BSc. International Trade and Development from the London School of Economics and built a career in new markets in international equities. He was European and Global investment strategist at Union Bank of Switzerland. In 2007 to 2011 he led Credit Suisse’s emerging Europe, Middle East and Africa equity business. He later chaired the Africa Investment Banking Committee and was a member of the Equity Executive.
In September 2011, he followed his interest in Africa and development and was appointed interim CEO of Microloan Foundation, Malawi, re-locating to the regional town of Kasungu and responsible for 120 employees and 23,000 clients.
