Youth Advisory Panel!
We are a group of financial education and enterprise enthusiasts from all ages.
Come to one of our sessions and you’ll bump into members as young as nine to senior yappers in their twenties – we don’t believe enthusiasm and input are restricted to age!
Meetings are termly; our aim is to advise and guide MyBnk’s programme design and methods by experiencing them first hand. Anything that is freshly developed at the MyBnk HQ is tested by us first. Thus we gain incredible insight into how a programme comes to fruition, from the brainstorming room to execution in the classrooms of the UK.
We also act as MyBnk ambassadors to events, sit in on job interviews, and receive unique opportunities, from networking to work experience.
So to sum things up, if you are young, open-minded, and enthusiastic about helping young people take control, then sign up and drop by one of our sessions on Brick Lane to take part in money lessons, trips, enterprise projects, focus groups and pizza!

MyBnk HQ was transformed for The Youth Advisory Panel Annual BBQ, to thank all the young people who make MyBnk awesome!
Students running MyBnk-in-a-Box banks at Mount Carmel and Walthamstow Schools for Girls also joined us for a day of enrichment, entertainment and, of course, a little finance on the side with MyBnk educators and special guests.
We helped MyBnk Quality and Training Officer, Ben, work on a new workshop entitled Money-robics, which delivers financial messages throughsportand then had a workout with Tanya’s African Drumming, featuring 12 Djembe drums!
Yappers met up again with Max from Occupy London Tours, who previously ran a special YAP tour in April, to assist his students building their own financial crisis and uncover how the UK’s near financial meltdown occurred.
We were also given the opportunity to receive expert advice on how to boost our employability skills and ‘stand out from the crowd’ with CV surgeries run by Bruno, the founder of Represent.
After food and prizes our attention turned to enterprise as Jane Knight, from Knight and Kaye held a talk all about personal branding and enterprise to increasing our networks and starting out on the career ladder.
Continuing the creative theme, Yvonne from Life Creations ran a lyric writing workshop, incorporating the values of money, including how to save, create good financial habits and change your personal ideology towards money.
“Everybody want the cash, want the moolah, want the dough.
Everybody wanna be rich but you already know.
So if you don’t got the swag than you gotta go.
Buy sitton new so that you can shika show”
The Importance of Money – Melany
There was just enough time for a creative dance run and later Angela Dennis Photography helped us get to grips with taking the perfect shot.
A big thanks to MyBnk and the other organisations for our day of fun and brain food – we left your HQ confident that our input to MyBnk’s work has been as invaluable as ever.
Last YAP: We helped MyBnk create a new financial education football activity and ideas for new games to use during this summers delivery to the National Citizens Service. Read more here.
