MyBnk is celebrating the UK’s first Financial Capability Week by helping nearly 1,000 young people master money.
We are bringing the UK’s highest rated money skills programme for young people and Leaving Care Award winning debt intervention workshops to nine schools and youth organisations.
Stay tuned for dispatches from the frontline as:
- Guy Rigden, MyBnk CEO responds to new Money Advice Service data relating to young people, parents, teachers and financial education.
- Our young people present their MyBnk experience to MPs at the Westminster launch of the Money Advice Service’s awareness week on Monday.
- We join traders on the floor of the London Stock Exchange for their Charity Day on Tuesday.
- An Early Day Motion supporting the initiative which includes MyBnk, is set for debate in the House of Commons.
It is a chance to raise awareness of the need and impact of money lessons, celebrate the achievements of young people and thank funders such as the Players of the Postcode Lottery, Old Mutual Wealth, MUFG, the Worshipful Company of International Bankers and Comic Relief.
It is also Global Entrepreneurship Week and we will be bringing business to life for over 100 young people in our Enterprise-in-a-Box selling challenge at four secondary schools.
