Programme Trainer - Northern Ireland (Freelance/Zero Hours)

About Your Role

We currently need trainers to deliver our range of programmes. You will start with one and have the opportunity to train on further programmes, based on your experience, preferences and availability. The amount of freelance work you are offered is dependent on your flexibility, area of expertise and a level of seasonality. A booking typically is for 4 – 5 hours in one day.

You will be provided with comprehensive training to deliver the MyBnk programmes including:

– Core subject knowledge: an e-learning programme followed by an assessment
– Initial and ongoing programme training; both content and delivery

Training days are remunerated at a reduced rate.

Offering education of the highest quality is key to achieving our mission. Therefore, your working as a freelance trainer for MyBnk is dependent upon passing this training process, as well as continuing to meet our quality standards in your programme delivery. We assess this through young people and teacher feedback, as well as observation of your programme delivery.

Corporate volunteering

Opportunities

We know volunteers add ‘real world’ value to our programmes.

Whether it is helping a young person budget for the first time, sharing tips and tricks or mistakes with managing money, or giving them an insight into a career path, our young people gain immensely from volunteers.

MyBnk offers classroom-based volunteering opportunities directly through existing funder partnerships. Unfortunately, at present, we are unable to accommodate ad-hoc requests from individuals.

Recently we have hosted people from MUFG Bank, Old Mutual Wealth UK, Aberdeen Standard Investments, Octopus Group, and BNY Mellon.

Pro-bono support

Opportunities

MyBnk needs a strong back office to support our vital work on the frontline.

We welcome volunteers from a range of professions and backgrounds to apply their skillsets and support us on projects where we may lack resources. This could involve, for example, help with our IT,  systems, data analysis, communications or strategic planning.
