The gears are oiled, tyres pumped and muscles flexed after members of MyBnk’s 19-strong Pru Ride 100 team met at Richmond Park for final preparations for the iconic cycling challenge.

Michael, Morten and Jamie, all from our corporate partner, MUFG, joined other competitors from the world of finance, Andrew, Ant, Liz, Theo and myself. Look closely and you can see the new MyBnk cycling jersey.

With temperatures approaching 30 degrees many of us had put in a big session on the Saturday so Sunday’s session was more about easing the legs and getting to know each other. There will be some tough moments out there on the 100 mile journey through London’s landmarks and Surrey’s hillsides and we need all the support we can get.

With the starting gun just three weeks away, thoughts are on final training and gathering pace to hitting our fundraising target.

Each £20 raised will enable our experts to arm a young person with the skills to be able to take control of their finances and reduce the risk of debt and poverty.

Why support financial education for young people?

  • The U.K.’s personal debt is £1.5 trillion.
  • Almost half of workers have less than £100 in savings.
  • Just four in ten young people receive any form of money lessons at school.
